Please join us for the first meeting of 2025!

In preparation for the rainy season, we are practicing our identification skills during our upcoming meeting.
Our resident mycologist, Dennis Sharmahd, will help us to understand the common ways to identify fungi, which includes the relationships to plants and trees. Our goal is to have live specimens to help practice!
Our SDMYCO Secretary and Certified Naturalist, Mark Jenne, will share some of the identification keys that help to deduce which of the common fungi you are observing in San Diego.

The San Diego Mycological Society is happy to announce our Fungus Fair on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Hope you all have a warm and happy holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

 

We’re happy to announce the expanded dates, which include workshops and forays on Friday, 2/14 and Saturday, 2/15!

Please join us on Sunday, 2/16 for our annual communal gathering filled with learning, sharing, & loving everything mushroom related!

Featuring food, art, speakers, crafts, live specimens, identification & more!
